Step-by-step setup
- On the Apple TV home screen, open the App Store.
- Search for your chosen player, for example IPTVX, and select Get.
- Open the app and choose Add playlist or Add provider.
- Select Xtream Codes and enter the server URL, username and password from your welcome email. Or choose M3U URL and paste your playlist link.
- Most Apple TV players let you type on your iPhone instead of the remote: when the keyboard appears, a notification on your iPhone lets you enter text.
- Add the EPG URL if the guide does not appear automatically, then wait a minute for channels and the guide to load.
Best Apple TV settings for IPTV
- Match content: Settings > Video and Audio > Match Content, turn on Match Dynamic Range and Match Frame Rate. These settings match output to supported content formats; they do not increase the source frame rate. Brief blank screens during a format change can occur.
- Use Ethernet on Apple TV 4K models that have a port.
- Keep tvOS updated: Settings > System > Software Updates.
